2018 Annual BLANKETS FOR BABIES kick off has begun!

Hope Box’s Annual “Blankets for Babies” Blanket Drive With the cold weather upon us, we want to make sure that all of our babies and children in need have a warm blanket that they can have, hold and wrap up in this winter season. Our goal this year is to reach all of Wake County, Johnston County and help the surrounding counties affected by Hurricane Florence and Michael. We will be working with local law enforcement agencies, the Red Cross and the Salvation Army in each county to make this happen. The Apex Police Department, the Clayton Police Department and the Rolesville Police Department will be collection sites for blanket donations. *PLEASE HELP US BY DONATING A BLANKET TODAY* Collection dates will be from November 1, 2018- December 8, 2018

What's Happened:

With the River Running Club sponsoring a Supply Drive and Excel Moving & Storage making the delivery, Hope Box was able to donate 11 large utility storage bins of baby clothing to help those who lost everything in Sandy.

Thank you to the River Running Club and Excel Moving & Storage!

A Raleigh running club has teamed up with a moving company to collect and deliver items to the hardest hit areas of Superstorm Sandy along the Jersey Shore. The area is now bracing for a second hit from another expected storm.

Jill Dykes, a local mom who is part of the club and hails from Point Pleasant, N.J., had started collecting items to mail home when her friends with the River Run Club heard about what she was doing and, as she told me, "took the baton and ran with it (pun intended)."

Since then, Excel Moving & Storage has joined the effort to donate a truck and driver to deliver the supplies. Now the group needs the public's help to fill the truck. They will be collecting items from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, at the Falls River Shopping Center (in the Food Lion parking lot) in north Raleigh.
